Chicken Noodle Soup

Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe


  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 6 cups of chicken broth
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced
  • 2 stalks of celery, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of egg noodles
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Heat a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the saucepan and set aside.
  2. Add the carrots, celery, onion, and garlic to the saucepan. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the chicken broth, chicken, thyme, basil, salt, and pepper to the saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the egg noodles. Cook until the noodles are tender, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy your comforting chicken noodle soup.
